Our engineers achieve more distance, control and custornization with several unique, patent pending advances in driver design. To transfer more energy from the perimeter mass to the face of the club - and thus to the ball - we have made the roof and floor essentially parallel with each other. This is a departure from many drivers, whose rounded tops and bottoms can flex during the hit, losing energy which is supposed to go to the golf ball. For extra distance, as well as to help the driver remain square and resist twisting on heel and toe shots through impact, we put an elliptical-shaped weight at the back of the clubhead directly in line with the club's impact point. At the same time, we've given you the ability to fine tune ISI Titanium to golfers' stances and swings, because the 310 cc ISI Titanium driver offers 10 hosel combinations. Now you can specify lie angle and forward or back shaft placement, which helps players compensate for hooks or slices. ISI Titanium drivers are available with four graphite shaft flexes and four lofts. A wood cover is included with every driver.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT We tested all this advanced technology on the Research and Oevelopment Range, our broad fairway studded with sensors. Whether analyzing preliminary data collected from golfers or our state-of-the- PING Man, we're seeing exceptional performance from the ISI Titanium driver in both distance and accuracy. Tour professionals, too, are achieving performance improvements with the Tisi over their current favorite driver. "I was definitely hitting the ball 15 yards farther with it," says Jeff Maggert. "I'm eager to get it into my hands for this year." TECHNOLOGY, WITH THE FEEL OF WOOD. The ISI Tour driver and fairway woods combine the special feel of wood with the control and forgiveness PING technology made famous. In ISI Tour woods, we've developed an innovative design that takes the weight out of the club's center and replaces it with a light urethane insert. It's actually perimeter weighting, brought into the world of natural feeling that can only be achieved with wood. By maximizing the moment of inertia, it gives golfers the soft feel of wood with more forgiveness on off-center hits than ever before. A compact head size in the ISI Tour fairway woods gives players the ability to work the ball. It's this feature that makes the laminated maple wood the choice of several tour professionals - a fact that brings us great pleasure. After all, it was their input that played such an important role in the club's design.
