ISI · K is the iron to recommend to your higher handicap golfers. Cast of 17-4 stainless steel, it's our most forgiving clubhead. We've given it a larger head, which enables the player to hit the sweet spot more often, producing straighter, more consistent shots. Combine this with its higher moment of inertia, its ellipse and five vibration- reducing cavity "fingers" and all the other design innovations of the PING ISI Series and you have a major tool to bring pleasure into a golfer's iron game. When designing all of our irons, including the ISI-K, one objective is paramount. More control. This is achieved not only in the irons' overall design, but in the setting of the lofts. Because shots hit with irons are the most precise of any, the lofts of PING irons are set to ensure golfers have the right club for every distance. That means equal distance difference between clubs - most importantly the short irons.

MANUFACTURING
Once our engineers have developed a precise computer model, our machinists mill a detailed aluminum mold- This begins the making of a golf club using investment casting. For ISI Stainless Steel irons we cast 17-4 stainless steel - used for its strength by the aerospace industry- Once ISI clubheads have been cast, they're heat treated in a vacuum furnace to improve the consistency, feel and strength of the metal. This ensures proper hardness, corrosion resistance and durability. Equally important, heat treating enables us to build clubs whose loft and lie angles are adjustable.

Nickel is tougher than copper or stainless steel, yet in ISI clubheads it produces a remarkably soft feeling. On impact, our ISI Nickel irons sound very solid. And like the entire ISI Series, ISI Nickel features extreme perimeter weighting to ensure consistent distance and accuracy.

Coupled with the natural beauty of copper, our ISI Copper irons offer all the design innovations of the ISI Series. Because it's so dense a metal, copper lets our engineers concentrate weight in four key locations around the clubhead's perimeter, providing maximum forgiveness on off-center hits. And like all copper, our ISI Copper irons darken with age, enhancing both their appearance and the pleasure of owning them.
